Aiyaary postponed the release date for the third time to February 16!

Padmaavat has made news ever since time immemorial and so had Pad Man, thanks to the plot it is based on and the recent #PadManchallenge, but that is definitely not the case for Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Aiyaary. The movie has faced numerous setbacks and is having a difficult time finding stability with its comparatively weaker star cast.

The ruckus began with Pad Man and Aiyaary sharing the same release dates which further aggravated when Padmaavat makers decided to have the same date for their period drama. With audience excited worldwide to watch Padmaavat, Siddharth Malhotra Aiyaary took a sensible step of shifting the release date to February 9. Pad Man and Padmaavat avoided the major clash as Sanjay Leela Bhansali convinced Akshay Kumar to shift Pad Man to February 9. Bhansali’s Padmaavat has an enormous budget of 180 crores at stake which probably helped their defense and was strong enough to cater to the fraternity brotherhood.

Sidharth Malhotra did not take the news well as he stated that it is ‘irritating’ to see the makers of Akshay Kumar movie Pad Man choose the same date since they had graciously chosen a different one to avoid any clash. Well, we don’t blame the Student of the Year star since Pad Man would definitely grab all the screens and audience. The period espionage stars Manoj Bajpayee who was last seen in Naam Shabana.

With Aiyaary’s shift Pad Man will now have a sole run with 2000 screens. Pad Man is based on the life of Arunanchal Murunanagatham, a man who created low-cost sanitary napkin making machine and brought about a wave of change in a country where menstruation is a taboo topic.

Aiyaary release date postponed to 16^th of February and we wish the makers luck, since we know they wouldn’t survive another shift!
